Senior Frontend Developer required for a leading client based in Oxford. The candidate will be responsible for implementing and tuning high quality, optimised, maintainable code within a framework, ensuring the best user experience possible. A background in developing games and software for the casino industry is not mandatory, but would be beneficial in this instance. Strong experience using HTML5 is key for this position.
Key skills & responsibilities:
- Extensive experience working with HTML5 and TypeScript
- Strong experience working within a mobile and desktop environment
- Experience using PixiJS, Phaser or other JavaScript frameworks, focused around gaming or animation
- Knowledge of CSS, PostCSS and SASS/SCSS
- Experience with CSS frameworks – Tailwind, Bootstrap and responsive design techniques
- Background in mathematics, statistics and/or physics and 3D development is desirable
- Strong knowledge of platform specific and cross platform capabilities
- Experience utilising JavaScript build tools such as Gulp, Vite or Rollup
- Proficient knowledge of animations techniques using WebGL or Canvas 2D APIs
- Solid experience working with source control platforms and tools such as GIT and SVN
- Have the ability to analyse and understand frameworks and functionality to ensure optimal experiences within a mobile-first development approach
- Experience with logging and analysis tools to quickly diagnose errors (Elasticsearch, Rollbar, Sentry)
