Desktop Support Engineer – London
Salary up to £35,000-40,000
A leading London client seeks a Desktop Support Engineer to handle all IT queries for office visitors, including the Tech Leadership team. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and expertise in Intune, AutoPilot, and other MS tools to support the Service Desk. Occasional travel to the Burton head office for meetings is expected.
Key skills and responsibilities,
- Extensive experience working with and supporting Microsoft technologies, software, and operating systems, including D365, O365, Active Directory, Exchange, Windows 10/11, Server 2016+, Azure, Intune, BitLocker, and the Power Platform.
- In-depth expertise in PC hardware setup and configuration.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts such as LAN, WAN, and VPN.
- Demonstrated ability to lead small-scale projects related to desktop support for personal computers and peripherals.
- Strong analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and professional telephone etiquette.
- Prior experience on an IT Service Desk.
- Genuine enthusiasm for information technology and a demonstrated technical aptitude.
- Results-driven and action-oriented, consistently maintaining a positive work attitude.
- Proficient in supporting Apple macOS and iOS devices within enterprise environments.

- Familiar with the ITIL framework and incident/problem management processes.
- Experienced in supporting hybrid work environments, including remote troubleshooting via tools like Microsoft Endpoint Manager or TeamViewer.

- Exposure to mobile device management (MDM) and BYOD policy implementation.
- ITIL certification or working knowledge of ITIL best practices.
