Our Mission
International athletes face an uphill battle when trying to recruit to top US universities. The process is opaque, confusing, and stacked against those without access to specialized guidance. Crimson Education changed the game for international students applying to elite universities—we've helped thousands reach Harvard, Stanford, Oxford, Cambridge, and beyond. We're now doing the same for international student-athletes.
Over the past decade, we've built International Athletics into a global business serving athletes across 25+ countries. After years of steady growth, we've recently hit our stride—our service delivery is excellent and results are strong. Now we need someone to take the reins and scale aggressively.
The Opportunity
As General Manager, you'll run International Athletics like the CEO of your own company—but with the resources and safety net of a larger organization. You won't be grinding for every lead like a pure startup, but you will need to build our marketing presence, enable sales teams globally as well as close deals yourself, and drive strong growth.
What You'll Do
- Own the Unit End-to-End
- Set strategy, make decisions, and own revenue outcomes
- Work closely with our Head of Marketing (Athletics) to build campaigns and accelerate growth
- Oversee a small team of strategists who deliver service to student-athletes
- Partner with country managers across 25+ markets to scale sales
- Drive Revenue Growth
- Enable local sales teams globally to sell Athletics packages effectively
- Lead athletics sales consultations where your recruiting experience is the credibility driver
- Build our Instagram, website, and marketing presence
- Identify expansion opportunities through partnerships, new markets, or service improvements
- Manage Service & Team
- Ensure consistently excellent outcomes for student-athletes
- Manage full-time and part-time strategists
- Recruit and build the team as we scale, with support from our recruitment team
- Work with other product GMs at Crimson who are navigating similar challenges
- Navigate the Matrix
- Coordinate with local sales and marketing teams who primarily sell Crimson's core services
- Build trust and alignment across a global, remote organization
- Prove ROI and earn resources through strong performance
What We're Looking For

- Strong sales or business development skills—you've closed deals and hit targets
- Self-directed and entrepreneurial—you figure things out and drive outcomes
- Comfortable with ambiguity, complexity, and moving quickly
- Genuinely excited about helping international student-athletes
- Comfortable working remotely (we're a global, distributed team)
Preferred:
- Experience managing teams or working in matrix organizations
- Current or recent role in athletics recruiting, coaching, or advising
- Track record at a high-growth company or startup
