Position Overview
Focus is a new service within the Crimson suite, designed to prioritize the development of executive function and leadership skills that drive academic, extracurricular, and personal success. The program also prepares students to engage more effectively with other Crimson services—ranging from research and test prep to competitions and extracurricular capstones. We’re seeking reliable, student-focused mentors to support high-achieving students (Grades 8–10) in following through on tasks, habits, and milestone goals set by their Senior Executive Function Coach. As an Execution Mentor, you’ll serve as a consistent accountability partner—meeting up to daily with students to help manage schedules, track assignments, and build momentum through hands-on support. Execution Mentor is a flexible, contract/hourly position.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide regular 1:1 support (up to daily) to help students complete tasks and meet milestones set by the Senior EF Coach
- Act as an accountability partner—checking in on progress, managing workload, and maintaining student motivation
- Help students review schedules, manage deadlines, and follow through on academic and extracurricular commitments
- Offer practical, encouraging guidance to students who need structure and consistent support
- Coordinate closely with the Senior EF Coach to align on student progress, evolving needs, and weekly task plans
- Adapt your support style to match student needs, using provided tools and new approaches as introduced
- Contribute to student habit-building that promotes long-term independence, focus, and follow-through
Required Qualifications
- M.Ed. from an accredited institution
- Demonstrated success working with youth/students
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting students in an academic, mentoring, or coaching capacity
- Familiarity with executive function coaching, skills development, or leadership training
- Understanding of student progress tracking, assessments, or skill-building frameworks (e.g. SEL, Human Skills Matrix)
- Strong interpersonal skills, especially in maintaining student motivation and accountability
- Experience working with international and ESOL students
- Familiarity with college admissions processes and academic planning (US/UK preferred)
