Peebles Hydro is set right at the heart of the Scottish Borders and offers a great place to relax, unwind and magically shut off from the pressures of modern life. We’ve been welcoming guests for well over 100 years and today we're home to 132 bedrooms, 3 places to eat, 6 function spaces, a leisure club, spa and oodles of outdoor space.
About the role
Exceptional customer service is at the heart of our business, so your friendly, welcoming personality is a given. Leadership is another area you’ll excel in, and your enthusiasm and passion for leisure will inspire and energise the team you lead. You’ll have previous management/supervisory experience in a leisure environment. No two days are the same and you’ll thrive on the constant challenge of the role. From training the team, managing budgets and rotas to improving our service - everything you do will show your commitment to driving the business forward.
What we need from you
- You’ll be passionate about fitness and sport, and have an ambition to drive service quality improvement and programme development.
- With your natural coaching abilities and hands-on style of management, you’ll help to lead the team to deliver high quality, friendly service.
- You’ll make sure we provide a safe and secure environment for our members and guests through your strong knowledge of and adherence to legislative compliance: Emergency pool responder qualification, Level 2 Fitness Instructor/Assessor, First Aid at Work and Pool Plant Operators are essential qualifications.
- You’ll be able to work flexible hours to meet business and customer needs.
- You’ll have a proactive approach to driving sales and revenue generation.
- You’ll have great IT skills to assist with keeping the Membership database up to date.
