About the Role. Are you passionate about making a difference and connecting people with opportunities? We’re looking for an energetic, creative, and driven individual to join our People team in this exciting new role. You’ll play a key part in shaping how we engage with our communities, attract talent, and build a strong employer brand. This is a dynamic position covering multiple sites across the business, so flexibility and a willingness to travel are essential. You’ll have the chance to work independently, take ownership of projects, and collaborate with a supportive team that values fresh ideas and innovation.
What You’ll Do. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our outreach and engagement efforts. Your responsibilities will include:
- Be Our Brand Ambassador: Represent the company at careers fairs and school/college events, showcasing career opportunities and building strong community connections. You’ll design eye-catching displays and create materials that inspire future talent.
- Shape Early Careers: Coordinate work experience programs with local schools, helping young people gain valuable insights into the world of work.
- Drive Recruitment Success: Support the full recruitment cycle—from screening and interviews to onboarding—while creating branded job templates that reflect our identity.
- Own Our Online Presence: Create and manage engaging content across social media and our careers website to attract and inform potential candidates.
- Keep Our People Connected: Develop internal communications through creative channels like poster boards and canteen screens, ensuring everyone stays informed and engaged.
- Champion Our Brand: Work closely with Marketing to maintain consistent branding across all internal and external communications.
- Lead Projects That Matter: Support People team initiatives and contribute to collaborative projects that enhance our culture and employee experience.
- Build Partnerships: Develop relationships with external organisations such as DYW and DWP to strengthen our community impact.
- Boost Engagement: Collaborate with the Social Committee to promote activities and events that bring our people together.
- Measure Your Impact: Provide regular reports on progress, performance, and outcomes.

What we’re looking for:
- Excellent communications skills - both written and verbal.
- Confident working with multiple systems and learning to efficiently use new ones. Experience with Microsoft 365, Recruit Genie, Social Media and Canva would be advantageous but not essential.
- Creative - able to create engaging community/careers events and company communications.
- Teamwork - able to work as an effective team player to ensure People team goals are achieved.
- Pro-active - able to take ownership of the role and make it your own.
- Flexibility - as a small People team we need someone who will support wherever necessary to ensure our success as a department.
- Discretion - trusted to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
- A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for this role.
