Crick invites applications for a 2027 PhD project with Michael Winding exploring collective behaviour in fruit-fly larvae. The project combines circuit connectomics, calcium imaging and behavioural assays to uncover how sensory information and social experience shape neural processing.

The student will join a diverse Crick group, engage with single-cell datasets, and develop models linking connectivity to behaviour, with extensive training and access to STPs.
