Bat for a Chance is a UK charity that uses cricket as a tool for social change. We collect donated cricket equipment from across the game and redistribute it to players, clubs and projects throughout the UK and around the world, turning unused kit into real opportunity for deserving causes.
THE ROLE
This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You'll run our new warehouse in Staplehurst, Kent, taking charge of getting quality donated cricket kit out to the players, clubs and projects who need it, both across the UK and overseas. It suits someone organized and digitally confident, who is equally happy managing the tracker and getting stuck into boxing, lifting and loading.
WHAT YOU'LL DORunning the warehouse
- Take day-to-day charge of the warehouse, keeping it organized and runningsmoothly.
- Once requests for kit are approved, you'll own the fulfilment of all UK orders, fromboxing up through to dispatching via Royal Mail Click & Drop.
- You'll have the responsibility to keep applicants informed on what we can sendand when their kit will arrive.
Managing a warehouse assistant
- In the busy summer peak period, you'll manage a temporary assistant to help stayon top of orders and deliveries, always ensuring they're clear on what needs to bedone and by when.
International orders
- Box up orders heading overseas, create itemized packing lists and prepare thecommercial invoice for each shipment.
Kit collections
- Check inventory and keep our stock tracker accurate and up to date.
- Keep the warehouse well stocked, re-ordering boxes, tape, pens and otheressentials as needed.
- Manage communications with donors and schedule kit collections around yourown diary and workload.
