We are recruiting a team of Cricket Data Reporters across the UK to attend and live-score professional cricket matches throughout the season. This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of the professional game, operating from media centres at major venues and contributing to high-quality, real-time cricket data used by the global sports industry.
Role Overview
Cricket Data Reporters attend professional matches and use a dedicated scoring platform to record every ball of the game in real time. Accuracy, speed, and concentration are essential. You will be seated in official media areas and expected to represent the organisation professionally at all times.
Matches Covered
Coverage includes major domestic competitions in both men’s and women’s cricket, including multi-day and limited-overs formats.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend assigned matches and arrive 45 minutes before the start of play
- Operate a laptop-based scoring system to record every ball live
- Maintain consistent speed and accuracy throughout the match
- Follow scoring protocols and training guidelines
- Adhere strictly to company integrity protocols and confidentiality standards
- Represent the organisation professionally in media environments
Training
- Paid training programme
- Assessment required to qualify for match assignments
Pay & Commitment
- £150 per full day (multi-day matches, one day matches or double header T20’s)
- £120 per T20 or 100-ball match
- Expenses for venues which are further away from your designated venue
