We are searching for a Parts & Aftersales advisor to join a growing team at a reputable garden machinery distribution company based in Swindon. This role will start following a successful interview. For the successful candidate in this field, there are progression opportunities within the department. This role will suit candidates looking for a new career path with previous experience in customer service/parts advising. Full training is provided in this position. A technical background in small engines, lawn equipment or mechanics is preferred but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers over the phone and online with parts inquiries.
  • Identify and recommend the correct parts based on customer needs.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance.
  • Upsell additional products and services when appropriate.
  • Handle customer complaints and returns professionally.
  • Process sales transactions using our premier stock system.
  • Prepare invoices, quotes, and purchase orders.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and service technicians for part orders.

Requirements

  • Experience in lawnmower, garden machinery, or automotive parts sales (preferred/not essential).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to use parts lookup software and online catalogues.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office).
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Pay and Hours

Monday to Friday working alternating shifts Week 1 08:00-16:30, Week 2 08:30-17:00 £25,000-£28,000 DOE.
