What You’ll Do
- Promote and secure specifications for Cubis Systems products with consulting engineers, designers, local authorities, utilities, and contractors.
- Provide technical guidance on product selection, compliance, and suitability for infrastructure applications.
- Prepare and create detailed designs of buried cable routes and utilities (AutoCAD) utilising IPE products.
- Collaborate with design engineers and contractors to refine and optimise designs in line with IPE product solutions.
- Carry out structural and load calculations to confirm suitability and compliance of IPE products.
- Produce accurate material schedules from engineering drawings and specifications.
- Provide technical and product support to the IPE Commercial teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain and expand the IPE BIM and Digital Construction Library across relevant platforms.
- Engage with CAD platforms to ensure IPE products are visible and recognised by industry designers.
- Support Technical Managers in developing and enhancing the company’s sustainability offering.
- Prepare and submit monthly technical activity and project reports to the Commercial Department.
- Develop and apply knowledge of civil engineering principles, ground conditions, and relevant design rules.
- Assist with new product development, technical specifications, and supporting literature.
- Produce clear installation guides and specification documents for IPE products.
- Ensure digital assets are controlled, version-managed, and accessible to engineering and commercial teams.
- Advise customers and internal stakeholders on installation requirements and industry best practice.
- Support value engineering activities while maintaining performance, safety, and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with consulting engineers, designers, contractors, and end clients.
- Act as a technical point of contact throughout the project lifecycle, from concept and design stage to delivery.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Commercial, Operations, and Technical & Innovation teams to support project success.
Experience and Qualifications
- Civil Engineering HNC, HND or equivalent.
- A minimum of 1 year working within a civil engineering design environment.
- Experience in Autodesk AutoCAD, ideally Revit and/or Civil 3D.
- Experience in designing and specifying underground utilities and services within civil engineering projects.
- Knowledge of Structural Engineering Standards (Eurocodes).
- Strong technical and problem-solving capability.
- Commercial awareness and customer focus.
- Clear, confident written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Collaborative and proactive approach.
- High standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
