Responsibilities include providing first line support and advice to managers on all areas of the employee lifecycle and playing a key role in delivering a commercially focused HR service across our UK locations. Implement, monitor and adhere to HR policies, initiatives and projects within timescales ensuring compliance with UK employment law. Provide coaching and support to the site management teams in line with employee relations issues ensuring fairness and equality. Support managers in the management and improvement of employee performance. Assist in the management of short and long-term absence, balancing the welfare of employees and the needs of the business to identify solutions. Support resourcing ensuring right people, right place, right time with focus on early careers. Coach and support management teams with interview, assessment and selection methods in collaboration with the HR Manager. Provide and analyse relevant HR KPI data as required by the HR Manager / Head of HR, suggesting improvements where required. Ensure our HR systems are accurate and up to date, ensuring a single point of truth in relation to employee data. Play a key role on project teams as and when required. Drive our I & D agenda and initiatives across the UK. Focus on digitally enabled HR ensuring we are fit for future.
Key Competencies and Experience:
- Strong UK Employee Relations experience including practical application
- CIPD qualified or equivalent experience
- Experience of working in the manufacturing/engineering sector, thorough understanding of the challenges
- Extensive experience in SAP HR systems
- Comprehensive understanding of HR principles and practices
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and develop strong relationships internally and externally
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High integrity and ability to challenge where appropriate
- Ability to assess, measure and identify key talent and ensure this fits to key organisational drivers
- Personal drive and a desire to succeed and improve
- Attention to detail and strong HR KPI data analysis skills, ability to produce reports and manipulate data
