Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator will be based at the Tallington site and will be the first point of contact for Site Operations Managers and Supervisors regarding all HR-related issues. The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
- Build and sustain strong, collaborative relationships with site operations managers, supervisors, and team leaders, positioning yourself as the primary point of contact for all generalist HR and people-related matters.
- Act as a trusted resource for employees, promptly acknowledging and addressing queries and concerns.
- Oversee timekeeping, attendance, and performance records, and manage investigatory, disciplinary, and grievance processes in line with Company policies.
- Support recruitment activities, including coordinating and conducting interviews.
- Facilitate onboarding and induction programs, delivering a seamless experience for new hires.
- Coordinate performance reviews for weekly-paid employees across all sites, ensuring timely and constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records within the HR system, safeguarding data integrity and compliance.
- Contribute to Works & Safety Committee meetings, promoting a culture of health, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Provide administrative support for payroll activities, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to timelines.
- Support the onboarding process by preparing new hire documentation, coordinating system setup, and ensuring a smooth, positive experience for all new employees.
- Coordinate training schedules, maintain development records, and liaise with internal and external providers to ensure employees have access to relevant learning opportunities.
- Support the delivery and follow-up of development programmes that enhance capability, performance, and career growth.
- Gather, analyse, and summarise HR data including turnover, absence, engagement indicators, and labour market trends to provide actionable insights for the HR team and leadership.
- Support the design, coordination, and delivery of engagement activities that strengthen organisational culture, promote collaboration, and improve overall employee satisfaction.
- Deliver day-to-day administrative assistance across all HR functions, including maintaining personnel records, updating HR systems, managing documentation, and supporting recruitment and employee lifecycle processes.
- Other duties relating to the provision of an efficient HR function across all sites, as required and as directed by the HR Manager.
- Conduct research on HR policies, procedures, and best practices to support HR initiatives.
- Prepare reports and figures for the Lurgan site daily and other sites as required.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree level qualification in HR, Business Administration or equivalent.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Experience in the full MS Office suite.
- Experience of developing and maintaining productive working relationships at all levels of an organisation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability and willingness to be flexible and to travel between sites, as required.
- CIPD Associate Membership is desirable.
- Experience with an ERP or HR systems is desirable.
