This role is part of our UK Wastewater Services (UKWWS) team, supporting water utility companies on wastewater and sewage treatment sites nationwide.
About the Job
We are looking for an experienced and qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our branch in Heathfield, East Sussex. This is a hands-on field role with excellent variety and long-term development opportunities. In this job, you will:
- Install, commission, set up and test water filtration systems on sewage treatment sites
- Carry out site inspections, diagnose faults and prepare survey reports for quotations
- Use mobile electronic equipment to access and interpret technical information
- Work at heights, in confined spaces and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Work away from home regularly, including overnight stays
- Occasionally support workshop activities at other UK locations
- Collaborate with other engineers and trades across the business

About You
To be successful, you’ll need:
- A current valid UK driving licence
- City & Guilds mechanical engineering qualification
- Completion of a recognised mechanical apprenticeship

- Willingness to work away from home regularly
- Ability to follow and interpret technical instructions
