Reports to: HR Manager
Role Overview
The HR Coordinator will be based at the Tallington site and will be the first point of contact for Site Operations Managers and Supervisors regarding HR-related issues. The following responsibilities apply:
Responsibilities
- Build and sustain strong, collaborative relationships with site operations managers, supervisors, and team leaders, acting as the primary point of contact for generalist HR and people-related matters.
- Act as a trusted resource for employees, promptly acknowledging and addressing queries and concerns.
- Oversee timekeeping, attendance, and performance records, and manage investigatory, disciplinary, and grievance processes in line with Company policies.
- Support recruitment activities, including coordinating and conducting interviews.
- Facilitate onboarding and induction programs, delivering a seamless experience for new hires.
- Coordinate performance reviews for weekly-paid employees across all sites, ensuring timely and constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records within the HR system, safeguarding data integrity and compliance.
- Contribute to Works & Safety Committee meetings, promoting a culture of health, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Provide administrative support for payroll activities, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to timelines.
- Support the onboarding process by preparing new hire documentation, coordinating system setup, and ensuring a smooth, positive experience for all new employees.
- Coordinate training schedules, maintain development records, and liaise with internal and external providers to ensure employees have access to relevant learning opportunities.
- Support the delivery and follow-up of development programmes that enhance capability, performance, and career growth.
- Gather, analyse, and summarise HR data including turnover, absence, engagement indicators, and labour market trends to provide actionable insights for the HR team and leadership.
- Support the design, coordination, and delivery of engagement activities that strengthen organisational culture, promote collaboration, and improve overall employee satisfaction.
- Deliver day-to-day administrative assistance across all HR functions, including maintaining personnel records, updating HR systems, managing documentation, and supporting recruitment and employee lifecycle processes.
- Other duties relating to the provision of an efficient HR function across all sites, as required and as directed by the HR Manager.
- Conduct research on HR policies, procedures, and best practices to support HR initiatives.
- Prepare reports and figures for the Lurgan site daily and other sites as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree level qualification in HR, Business Administration or equivalent
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Experience in the full MS Office suite
- Experience of developing and maintaining productive working relationships at all levels of an organisation
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability and willingness to be flexible and travel between sites, as required
- CIPD Associate Membership is desirable
- Experience with an ERP or HR systems is desirable
