We’re looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Credit Controller to join our Credit Control function at our site in Sheffield. Reporting directly to the Credit Control Manager, this will be a hands‑on role to support continued growth and financial resilience, strengthen internal working relationships and provide accurate reporting and forecasting information.

The day to day duties of the Credit Controller are varied and include managing the debts of creditors, ensuring timely payments are made, resolving and sending all PODs/queries, and processing credit notes. A Credit Controller is also involved in new credit account requests, including checking credit ratings for the Credit Manager to approve or decline credit limits for proformas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with customers to ensure debts are paid on time
  • Email invoices to customers each day
  • Send PODs, copy invoices and other information requested by customers
  • Resolve queries with deliveries and invoices by liaising with other Leviat UK departments where necessary
  • Process credit notes
  • Set up new customer accounts
  • Carry out credit checks on new and existing customers
  • Send monthly customer statements
  • Provide cover as required for other team members
  • Provide general admin cover as required, e.g. post/reception
