We are looking for an experienced and qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our Dumfries branch. This is a practical, hands‑on field role with plenty of variety and opportunities for development.
Responsibilities
- Install, commission, set up and test water filtration systems on sewage treatment sites.
- Carry out site inspections, fault finding and produce survey reports for quotations.
- Access and interpret technical instructions using mobile electronic devices.
- Work at heights, in confined spaces and in all weather conditions on wastewater sites.
- Work away from home regularly, including overnight stays.
- Occasionally work in Hydro workshops across the UK.
- Collaborate with other engineers and trades as part of a strong multi‑disciplinary team.
Qualifications
- A current valid UK driving licence.
- City & Guilds mechanical engineering qualification.
- Completion of a recognised mechanical apprenticeship.
