Key tasks & responsibilities:
- To provide engineering support to PDM, Technical Design, R&D and Sales teams as required.
- To respond to technical queries from site regarding specialist fabrications and other site related issues.
- To respond to technical queries about the Leviat product range from architects, engineers and contractors.
- To aid the Technical Design team by offering practical, cost effective solutions to problems posed by specifiers and product end users.
- To aid in the production of technical product specifications and take-offs for the purposes of pricing.
- To develop their engineering skills and understanding to progress to the role of Structural Engineer.
Engineering Support:
- Maintain daily technical referral workload in a timely manner under guidance from Structural Engineer and/or Senior Engineer.
- Producing bespoke engineered solutions for non-standard design situations as required for ongoing projects within the PDM department.
- Aiding in the maintenance and development of standard design tools available to PDM/Technical Design.
- Offering design/engineering guidance to internal teams and answer queries.
- Verification of calculations produced by others.
- Share knowledge and experience of masonry technology with team members.
Site related queries:
- Respond to queries from site regarding the design and installation of Leviat products.
- Assessing reports of issues surrounding the use/installation of Ancon products by assessing the information provided to make a preliminary diagnosis.

Key Functional Competencies and Relevant Experience:
- Engineering Degree (Civil/Structural or Mechanical)
- Understanding of basic structural design principles in steel/concrete/timber/masonry materials.
- Experience in related structural products.
- Proficient in Autocad
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Design/drafting skills
- Flexibility and ability to multitask
- Self motivated with a hands on approach
