We're looking for an energetic, driven Buyer to join our Clevedon team. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you'll be right at the heart of our supply chain â keeping materials flowing, suppliers aligned and our operations running smoothly. This is a fastâpaced, handsâon role where you'll shape purchasing decisions, build strong supplier relationships and help deliver procurement excellence across the UK business. What You'll Be Doing
- Raising and managing purchase orders with accuracy and urgency
- Evaluating supplier quotes and supporting sourcing decisions
- Supporting negotiations and supplier selection activities
- Keeping a close eye on open orders and resolving delivery issues
- Spotting opportunities to reduce costs and improve processes
- Maintaining accurate procurement data and supplier details
- Supporting reporting on costs, delivery, quality and lead times
- Helping with supplier performance reviews and improvements
- Carrying out supplier risk checks and escalating concerns early
What You Should Bring
- You're someone who brings energy, curiosity and a canâdo attitude. Ideally, you have:
- A qualification in supply chain, business, engineering or similar
- Progress toward CIPS (or a desire to start)
- Experience in purchasing or a technical/supplyâchain admin role
- A strong understanding of basic procurement principles
- Sharp organisational skills and great attention to detail
- A commercial mindset â always asking "Is this the best option?"
- Confidence analysing pricing, quotes and supplier proposals
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative style
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities without breaking a sweat
- Good Microsoft Office and ERP system skills
