The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day technical delivery of the Hydrometric business. This includes maintaining and updating technical procedures, training staff, contributing technical expertise to projects and bids, and supporting the effective and profitable operation of both Hydro-Logic Services (International) Ltd and Hydro International plc.

Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and regular review/updating of technical work instructions, procedure documents and dissemination to the hydrometric team.
- Review of monitoring equipment available on the market and recommendation of monitoring equipment and measurement techniques for adoption by the business.
- Support to the Hydrometric team in the successful technical delivery of projects, including approval of all installation designs prior to installation.
- Work winning of Hydrometric projects, including preparation of fee proposals and tenders, to achieve budget sales targets and revenue and profit targets.
- Technical advice to regional managers and others who are responsible for winning work within the team, to ensure that proposed solutions are technically sound.
- Managing projects, ensuring efficient delivery safely and to time, budget and quality.
- Where appropriate, to provide advisory services to the Hydro International Group of companies when requested.
- Delivery of internal training to staff on Hydrometric monitoring techniques.
- To perform duties in accordance with all relevant legislation.
- Attend relevant trade conferences, exhibitions and seminars. Be looking to join relevant hydrological groups and fellowships to enhance knowledge within the wider context of Hydrometry and Hydrology.
- Assist in the delivery of training of Hydrometric monitoring techniques to external customers
- Maintain Companywide working standards in accordance with relevant hydrometry ISO Standards
- To apply requirements of BS EN ISO 9001 / 14001 and CDM as appropriate within the areas of responsibility.
- Other duties which the company may reasonably require the individual to undertake.
- Ensure compliance with and implementation of company Health and Safety policies
Requirements:
- Degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Environmental Science, Geography, Engineering)
- Minimum of 10 years\β relevant experience in the water sector, ideally in hydrometric monitoring or a closely related discipline
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, Hydrometric Data Archiving systems and fieldwork techniques.
- Good report and proposal writing ability and experience in preparing proposals for technical professional services.
- Proven track record in successful project management and delivery of consultancy or monitoring projects in the water industry to safety, quality, time and cost constraints.
- Chartership. For example, CIWEM, Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management
