Are you an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor looking to work with a specialist contractor in industrial new build and steel frame projects? Our client, a leading construction company based in Stevenage, is seeking a commercially astute PQS to manage cost control, procurement, and contract administration across multiple projects.

The Role:

As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of new build industrial projects, ensuring successful delivery within budget and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee cost management and commercial control across multiple industrial projects.
  • Manage procurement, subcontractor negotiations, and contract administration.
  • Prepare valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Conduct risk assessments and cost forecasting to support project delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, project managers, and site teams to maintain efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with JCT and NEC contracts while maximising project profitability.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Project Quantity Surveyor in industrial, steel frame, or commercial new build projects.
  • Strong understanding of cost control, procurement, and contract management.
  • Knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
  • Full UK driving license – site visits may be required.
