Managing Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering – East Midlands – Permanent | Full-Time One of our long-standing clients, a respected civil engineering contractor with a strong reputation in the highways and water sectors, is looking to appoint a Managing Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business delivering major infrastructure schemes across the East Midlands. The successful candidate will oversee the commercial function across multiple live projects, working closely with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure financial control and contractual compliance. Key Responsibilities: * Lead commercial management of multiple civils projects across highways, water, and infrastructure * Manage and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors and support staff * Oversee all commercial reporting including CVRs, cost forecasting, and risk management * Handle subcontract procurement, valuations, and final accounts * Ensure adherence to NEC and other contract frameworks * Support strategic planning and business growth alongside senior leadership Requirements: * Proven experience as a Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering * Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts * Sector background in highways, water, or infrastructure essential * Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills * Commercially astute with a proactive and analytical approach What’s On Offer: * A competitive salary and package tailored to experience * A key leadership role within a well-established and growing contractor * The opportunity to work on technically challenging and rewarding projects * Supportive and collaborative work culture
