Project Coordinator – Fibre Network Build Salary: 35k + benefits Location: Rugeley, Staffordshire Full-time | 4 days office-based Start Date: 09/11/2026 The opportunity: If you've worked in fibre network deployment, you'll know that keeping a build programme on track isn't just about updating spreadsheets and chasing emails. It's about knowing what's happening on the ground, spotting problems before they become expensive delays, and making sure supervisors, civils teams, streetworks and clients are all pulling in the same direction. We're recruiting for an established tier 1 contractor that's responsible for delivering major fibre network build programmes for one of the UK's growing broadband providers. There's a strong pipeline of work, plenty happening operationally, and they need someone who can come in, get to grips with the programme quickly and make an immediate difference. This isn't a slow-moving corporate environment. It's a busy, practical operation where things change daily, decisions need making and people appreciate someone who gets things done. Day to day You'll sit at the heart of the build operation, making sure the right people have the right information and that projects keep moving. That means: Coordinating fibre build programmes, civils activities, streetworks and traffic management. Working closely with site supervisors, operational teams and the client to keep delivery on track. Maintaining build trackers, updating project progress and keeping records accurate. Reviewing site evidence, checking completed works and preparing information for client submissions and invoicing. Spotting potential delays, chasing outstanding actions and helping resolve issues before they impact delivery. Keeping everyone informed when plans change, priorities shift or something needs sorting urgently. You'll have plenty of responsibility, a direct line into the operational team and the opportunity to genuinely influence how smoothly projects are delivered. Who we are looking for The big thing here is fibre network build experience. We need someone who understands the reality of deploying fibre networks, rather than somebody who's only coordinated projects in a general office environment. You'll ideally have worked for a fibre network contractor, network build partner or broadband infrastructure business, and be comfortable dealing with the moving parts of a live deployment programme. Experience with Vitruvi would be a massive advantage. Equally, if you've used DepotNet or similar fibre build management platforms, we'd be very interested in speaking with you. You'll also need to be confident with Excel, Microsoft 365, project trackers and the day-to-day reporting that keeps a build operation running. Just as important is your approach. We're looking for someone organised, commercially aware and comfortable picking up the phone to get answers. Someone who doesn't panic when priorities change, can hold their own with experienced operational teams and understands that sometimes the job is simply about finding a solution and getting things moving again. The environment is fast-paced, down-to-earth and straight-talking. If you like ownership, variety and being trusted to get on with the job, you'll fit in well. The role is based in Rugeley, with an expectation of being in the office 4 days per week. The Next Steps This is an urgent hire, so we're particularly keen to speak with people who are available immediately or can start within a week. If you've got a background in fibre network deployment and want a role where you're genuinely involved in the delivery rather than watching from the sidelines, I'd be interested in having a conversation.
