The opportunity:
Are you an electrical professional who has hit a bit of a glass ceiling? Maybe your role is becoming a little stagnant with no real training, career or development? Or maybe you are working all over the UK all the time and massive working weeks (hours wise)? Or maybe looking to step away from the tools in a more career focused role?
On that basis, we are looking for an electrical professional who wants to be trained up to become an Engineering Surveyor in the TICs world (Testing, Inspection & Certification). You will have seen these people around, making sure all is safe and fit for use.
So a real opportunity to come into a world leading organisation (won, for 9 years in a row, Top UK Employer) who will invest £50k in your development in the first few months alone, with a real career focus where the sky truly is the limit.
And WOW, what a package! You will easily clear £50k+ with overtime & car allowance as well as 12% pension, 25 day holiday, bonus & genuine world class training. And this is just the start.
It’s all about you:
We’re really open to the person, but essentially an electrical professional who wants to forge a career within testing & inspection as an engineering surveyor. We don’t expect you to have actually done such a role before (but you do need some testing & inspection experience) - we invest in your development hugely - but someone who wants this rare opportunity in a real career focused role.
We need fully qualified electrical professionals (apprenticeship, level 3 etc.) and a 2391 & 18th Edition would also be lovely. Even a HNC or above would be good too.
But we are more focused on getting the right personality in who wants further training and want to move up, gaining things like ATEX & COMPEX as you progress even up to chartered as we are in partnership with the IET.
The role itself:
Once you’re trained up, you will be testing & inspecting electrical pieces of kit and such in service, making sure all is working properly.
We work in a range of different sectors (anywhere there is electrical properties - so the likes of manufacturing, quarries, power plants, marine, agriculture airports… You get the picture), so this is pretty varied work where a lot of the work is around industrial, commercial & heavy industrial.
The further trained you are (and your salary goes up), the more complex sites you will be going on so there is always further development for you.
The company:
This is working for a certified UK top employer who have a world class reputation for training and developing their staff. A company where there will be huge opportunities and there are countless examples of senior people in the company starting off on this kind of a role.
