This is a new role, working client side for a network owner and operator spanning the UK. In a positive period of change, the position is a permanent role and can offer stability alongside growth.
To start, this will be a standalone position where you'll take the lead in procurement and supply chain. Gradually, you'll be given people management responsibility with a small team of accounts payable heads alongside inventory control.
The goal is to enter the business, assess the current state of play, and then look to implement processes and efficiencies across the business, both internally and externally across the vendor and partner ecosystem.
You'll have flexibility to put processes in place and will be the go-to person for all things procurement and supply chain. You will own and oversee the end-to-end procurement and purchasing process, ensuring all spend is legitimate, necessary, and aligned with business objectives.
You'll act as the delegated financial authority for purchase approvals, validating business need, budget availability, and that correct processes have been followed using the Salesforce system.

This role is for someone with a fundamental commercial finance base who has evolved into a procurement leadership role within the telecoms sector, specifically with a solid understanding of how things work in the FTTP space.
