Structured Cable Technician £28 - £30k Plus Van & benefits Based in Preston UK travel
The opportunity:
We're looking to bring in a structured cabling engineer to work on AV installation and digital media projects across the sports technology and live entertainment space. They install products and equipment that inspire viewers, excite crowds, and transform spaces. For over 30 years, this company has partnered with some of the world’s most famous sporting events, stadiums, brands, events, and venues to visually transform physical spaces with future proof concepts. Day to day:
In your role as an Installations and Service Technician you’ll work alongside the projects and operations team, installing, commissioning, and maintaining LED / AV / Screens and systems at client sites across the UK. Key aspects of your role will be:
- Installation and commissioning of the network cabling infrastructure - typically Cat6
- Build and install AV and rack-based systems.
- Maintain, service, and upgrade technical equipment.
- Research, design and develop proof of concepts / solutions for a variety of innovative projects.
- Manage incidents and faults, documenting progress, and escalating where necessary.
