CRG Recruitment are currently engaged with one of our clients to recruit a Junior IT Security Engineer who will support the organisation’s cyber resilience by assisting with the daily operation of security tooling, triaging alerts, and maintaining secure configuration and patch compliance across infrastructure. The role will provide hands-on support to the Security Engineer and Information Security Manager, with a focus on monitoring, reporting, and routine security tasks, while developing knowledge in incident response and infrastructure security.

Please note this role is fully remote but will require some UK based travel.

Key Skills required for this role:
  • Essential
    • Experience working in IT operations, or security support role.
    • Exposure to security monitoring or incident response processes (e.g. handling alerts, phishing investigations, or log review).
    • Familiarity with patching, configuration, or vulnerability management activities.
    • Experience of working in a technical information security role, covering operations and/or infrastructure security.
    • Experience working with or alongside a managed SOC, including escalation handling and incident investigation.
  • Desirable
    • Prior involvement in using Microsoft security tooling (Defender, Sentinel, Intune, or similar).

This role is paying up to £37,000 to £38,000 depending on experience plus benefits.
