We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioners to join a warm, supportive childcare team at our client. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about early years education to play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive.
You will support children's early development through engaging activities, positive relationships, and high-quality care, ensuring every child's individual needs are met with professionalism and compassion.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with early years education standards
- Supervise children during play, mealtimes, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times
- Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, routines, and development
- Organise and oversee daily nursery routines, including arrival and departure procedures
- Support colleagues in managing behaviour using appropriate and consistent strategies
- Contribute to nursery events and activities that encourage learning and social development
- Assist with administrative and childcare documentation as required
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations within the nursery environment
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting
- Strong understanding of child development and best practice in early years education
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Experience planning and delivering learning-through-play activities
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to childcare
