Role Description
The Solar Sales Executive is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Portsmouth.
This position is responsible for conducting site and customer needs assessments, and presenting tailored solar and low‑carbon solutions to residential clients.
Day‑to‑day activities include managing the sales pipeline, preparing and delivering proposals, negotiating terms, and closing sales in line with company targets.
The role also involves coordinating with technical and installation teams, maintaining accurate records in CRM systems, and providing post‑sale support to ensure a positive customer experience.
The successful candidate will represent CRG Direct professionally, participate in local marketing or outreach activities, and stay current on industry trends and incentives.
Qualifications
- Strong sales, negotiation, and consultative selling skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Knowledge of solar PV systems and low‑carbon technologies (e. g., batteries, EV charge points, heat pumps), or a willingness to learn quickly.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, accessible language.
- Solid organizational and time management skills, including experience using CRM tools and managing a structured sales pipeline.
- Customer‑focused mindset, strong problem‑solving abilities, and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Ability to work on‑site in Portsmouth.
