CRFS is seeking a skilled RF Antenna Engineer to lead the design, simulation, and validation of advanced antenna systems, with a focus on wideband performance and integration into RF platforms. This role is critical to the development of high-performance RF sensing and communication systems and involves close collaboration with hardware, software, and systems engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Antenna Design and Simulation:
- Design and optimize wideband antennas for RF sensing and communication applications.
- Use CST Studio Suite and other EM simulation tools to model antenna performance.
- Perform impedance matching, radiation pattern analysis, and bandwidth optimisation.
- Prototyping and Testing:
- Develop prototypes and conduct lab-based measurements using VNAs, spectrum analysers, and anechoic chambers.
- Validate antenna performance against simulation results and system requirements.
- Support integration of antennas into RF systems and enclosures.
- Field Testing and Evaluation:
- Conduct field tests to assess antenna performance in real-world environments.
- Analyse data to identify performance deviations and recommend design improvements.
- Collaborate with systems and test engineers to troubleshoot RF performance issues.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Document design processes, simulation results, and test outcomes.
- Generate technical reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.
