Our mission is to make B2B payments easy for SMEs. We are not a workflow tool; we have created an API to empower platforms to embed payments within their solutions. We help these platforms become super apps, increasing convenience and productivity for the end user. Being relentlessly focused on the customer and the problem, we aim to increase convenience, productivity, and make inefficient markets efficient.
About the role:
We are looking for a smart creative to supercharge our product design efforts. This is someone capable of employing the scientific method, their prior experience, and their imagination to solve hard problems. We strongly encourage collaboration and communication, but you must be comfortable working independently and taking the initiative. You will be working closely with the product and engineering team but will be the voice of our customers throughout Crezco.
Our payments engine may feel like a Ferrari, but our front-end should be as simple to drive as a golf buggy. Our business customers need to be able to navigate through the product with their eyes closed. As part of the team at Crezco you’ll have responsibilities in the following areas:
- Product leadership
- Ownership & Autonomy: Independently drive design initiatives from exploration to launch, making decisions that align with Crezco’s goals.
- Strategic Direction: Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to define and prioritise features, ensuring alignment with broader business outcomes.
- Vision & Advocacy: Use storytelling and design rationale to rally teams around a cohesive user experience strategy.
- Design experiences, not screens: Design full end-to-end user flows, not just isolated screens, maintaining consistency across the product.
- Visual & interaction excellence: Apply best practices in UI/UX to deliver polished, accessible, and innovative experiences.
- Design system stewardship: Contribute to and evolve Crezco’s design system, ensuring coherence and best practices.
- Evidence-based design: Conduct user research, analyse feedback, and incorporate data insights into design decisions.
- Usability testing: Plan and execute tests to validate assumptions, uncover friction points, and iterate quickly.
- Continuous improvement: Track feature performance post-launch, adjusting designs for better outcomes as needed.
- Partner with stakeholders: Work closely with product, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to ensure alignment on user needs and business goals.
- Effective communication: Present design solutions and rationale to diverse audiences, adapting level of detail as appropriate.
- Team mentorship: Provide constructive feedback, share knowledge, and uplift the broader design culture.
- Industry awareness: Stay informed on fintech/payment trends and proactively suggest ways to evolve our offering.
- Continuous learning: Seek out opportunities to improve skills, whether in design tools, research methods, or emerging technologies.
- Experimentation: Embrace ambiguity, iterate rapidly, and pivot as new insights arise.
What you will need to be successful:
- Must haves:
- 5+ years in UX/UI/service design
- Start-up / scale-up expertise
- Extensive experience with Figma and other design and prototyping tools
- Expert knowledge of design systems and component libraries
- Empathy, creativity, and technical competency
- Highly organised, pro-active when it comes to problem solving
- Experience in fintech or payments
- Experience building for SMEs
- Experience in API-first tech companies

A smart creative, positive, friendly and optimistic, organised, most happy in a start-up, celebrates team successes, design thinking, creative and analytical, attention-to-detail, comfortable working independently.
Equity options, access to company pension and health insurance plans, flexible working: work from home or our London office, company retreats and strategic off-sites.
Initial call with CEO (30 mins), take home assignment (prepare presentation), presentation with one or two other senior product managers (1 hr).
