About the role
We\’re hiring on behalf of a well-established Irish main contractor for an experienced Health & Safety Officer (10+ years) to support large-scale residential and commercial projects across Leinster. You\’ll champion the safety culture, analyse and report H&S data, and ensure delivery in line with Irish legislation and company standards.
Key responsibilities
Prioritise safety on site and communicate the company\’s safety ethos to all personnel.
Monitor, evaluate and improve H&S conditions; conduct inspections and close out actions.
Prepare and maintain method statements, risk assessments (RAMS) and safety statements.
Advise and support the EHS Manager on staff training and development needs; deliver inductions/toolbox talks as required.
Assist with internal audits; attend project and H&S meetings.
Analyse and report H&S metrics (incidents, near misses, trends) and drive preventative measures.
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of company H&S policies and procedures.Requirements
Degree/diploma in Health & Safety (or related).
10+ years\’ construction H&S experience (main-contractor experience preferred).
Proven record of accident-free/low-incident site performance.
Familiarity with ISO management systems (e.g., ISO 45001/14001/9001) and Safe-T-Cert (preferred).
Strong auditing, RAMS, incident investigation and reporting skills.
Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills.
Willing to travel across the Greater Leinster area.How to apply
