Store Stock Controller – Full-Time – Kingston-on-Thames

Purpose Of The Role
Stock Control is key in any retail business and Crew is no exception. Reporting into the Head of Logistics your role requires a high level of accuracy and detail when challenging stock figures and reporting to the business. You will be influential in reducing stock loss, working with Finance, Stores and Logistics. You will also be the first point of contact for all Logistics Helpdesk queries from within the business, presenting a professional, supportive and efficient response.
Responsibilities
Communication
- Single point of contact for all Stock Control issues with stores responding within 48 hours
- Actively review store stock control processes to make improvements
- Support Retail teams with End of Month reports and stock adjustment analysis
- Build relationships with Head Office Departments, Retail Ops, IT, Finance
Stock Management
- Monitor stock files through the systems ensuring processes are working as expected, engaging IT and Retail Ops to support as required.
- Manage store stock take schedule with Retail Ops and external partners
- Support system and store preparation for stock takes
- Manage the stock take process through systems
- Liaise with Retail Ops to improve process and stock accuracy
- Investigate discrepancies and provide resolutions
- Maintain regular contact with stores and carry out stock transfers when necessary
Analysis
- Analyse stock take results and share findings with suggestions on how to improve processes
- Produce regular and ad hoc reports and analyse sharing results
- Carry out regular stock analysis to identify issues and correct as required
- Carry out any ad-hoc duties to support to the department as and when required
Commercial Awareness
- Demonstrate a good understanding of stock control in line with the Crew brand
Key Skills & Experience
Essential –
- Strong numerical skills.
- Good Microsoft Excel and IT skills.
- An understanding of the principles of distribution and stock management.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong levels of communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working within an ERP
- Experience with using and creating reports
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Capable of working to tight deadlines.
- Ability to prioritise and work well under pressure.
- Dedicated and responsible approach to job role.
- Ability to work both independently and within a small team.
Desirable –
- Working experience of Microsoft Dynamics AX
- Graduate level or from retail background at supervisory level.
- Strong commercial awareness.
