Purpose Of The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager this is a business-facing role where you will be given the opportunity to add real value. The Junior Business Analyst must be able to demonstrate they are a customer focused individual with the energy, drive and commitment to make it happen. This role will be required to work closely with all departments of the business driving change and efficiencies for all processes and business systems.

This role will be working on business transformation projects, which may affect several areas of the business, and subsequently good Organisational skills, Conflict Management and Interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Good understanding of business objectives and departmental requirements
  • Document business processes and reference all system processes included within the process
  • Work with departments to enhance and improve processes through automation
  • Assist the Support team with troubleshooting and resolving system issues
  • Ensure all new solutions are effectively documented and tested prior to going live
  • Provide clear updates to colleagues and stakeholders ensuring all parties are kept well informed
  • Understand best practices and keep up to date with technological advances
  • Assist with any reporting requirements and data integrity

  • Experience of working in a Retail environment (stores, buying or merchandising)

  • Delivery of projects and system change
  • Experience of working with information systems ideally in a retail/wholesale business
  • Analytical and project management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to review, consolidate and communicate with all levels within IT and the business.
