AC Corporation is looking for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our Fabrication team in Greensboro, NC.

  • Typical Duties
  • Fabricate ductwork, air distribution accessories and associated equipment for commercial, industrial and institutional heating and air conditioning work.
  • Locate, measure and outline installationareas from construction drawings.
  • Drill holes, attach brackets, hangers and other holding devices.
  • Fabricate complex fittings and ductwork for fabrication.
  • Assist with moving, loading, unloading and distribution of material and parts.
  • Set equipment such as coils, fans and humidifiers.
  • Operate equipment such as shears, press brakes, sheet rollers, hem saws, plasma cutters, grinders, etc.
  • Be able to work overtime when needed (evenings and weekends).

Qualifications

  • Must have ability to weld to a qualified procedure using GMAW (MIG), and GTAW (TIG)
  • Minimum 2 years metal fabrication experience.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • A MIG and TIG weld test on stainless, carbon, galvanized and aluminum will be required at interview.
  • Able to use hand tools, man lifts, platform lifts, forklifts, rigging and erecting equipment
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions.
