This role will be based in Birmingham and will support active jobs throughout Birmingham, Montgomery, and Huntsville. The Regional Safety Manager will work directly with field crews, supervisors, and operations leaders to reinforce safe work practices while keeping projects moving. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety programs aligned with OSHA, NFPA 70E, ASME, and applicable state and local regulations across electrical, HVAC, piping, plumbing, and low‑voltage work.
  • Serve as the primary safety leader supporting Crosby Electric, Metro Mechanical Services, and C2 Technology.
  • Conduct regular jobsite visits across the region, typically 2–3 days per week, performing inspections, audits, and real‑time coaching with crews and supervisors.
  • Lead new‑hire safety orientations, toolbox talks, and task‑specific training tailored to active job scopes.
  • Partner with project managers, superintendents, and foremen to identify hazards early and implement practical mitigation strategies.
  • Lead incident reporting, investigations, and root‑cause analysis, ensuring corrective actions are completed and documented.
  • Track and analyze safety performance metrics using ISNetworld, client compliance portals, and internal reporting tools.
  • Support client safety requirements, audits, and prequalification processes.
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation including JHAs, permits, inspections, and regulatory records.
  • Act as a coach and advisor to field leadership, reinforcing a zero‑injury mindset without slowing productivity or creating friction.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of safety leadership experience in commercial or industrial construction, preferably within MEP environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety best practices.
  • Certifications strongly preferred: OSHA 500, CHST, NFPA 70E, First Aid/CPR.
  • Experience working in both union and non‑union environments is a plus.
  • Familiarity with compliance platforms such as ISNetworld, Avetta, or similar systems.
  • Strong communication skills with the credibility to influence field teams and operations leadership.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize field presence, and manage competing demands.
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Birmingham area.

What’s Offered

  • Competitive base salary – $85,000 – $105,000 DOE plus performance‑based bonus
  • Company vehicle and fuel card
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Direct access to local leadership and decision‑makers
  • The opportunity to make a real impact on safety culture across multiple respected Alabama contractors
  • Be a driving force for safety across Alabama. If you’re a hands‑on, proactive safety leader ready to make an impact in the field, join us and help build the safest MEP workforce in the industry.
