This position is responsible for the loading/unloading and hauling of materials needed to be taken to the job. This position works with the project managers and foreman required for getting the necessary equipment to jobs. Must be able to work some weekends.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive directions daily and transport materials to jobs.
- Accurately complete required documentation to include charging materials to jobs.
- Load, transport and unload materials and equipment to be used on jobs.
- Keep trucks clean and maintained.
- Rigging and tying down loads.
- Available to work overtime when required.
Physical & Mental Demands
- Sit, stand and walk up to 10 hours per day.
- Climb stairs, ladders and scaffolds.
- Wear safety glasses, hardhat, hearing protection and other protective equipment as necessary.
- Convey information to other employees.
- Encourage good safety habits.
- Enforce safety rules.
- Enforce company and customer policies.
- Have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED.
- NO serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years.
- NO DWI/DUI in last 10 years.
- 2+ years’ commercial driving experience required.
- Prefer knowledge of local area.
