We are working with a well-established Managed Service Provider (MSP) based in Bromley who are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to join their Project Management Office. This role is initially a 3 month fixed term contract to cover a period of sabbatical, with a possibility of becoming permanent. This is an excellent opportunity for an IT Project Manager with MSP experience who enjoys delivering a varied portfolio of projects such as cloud migrations, customer onboarding and infrastructure refreshes.
The Role
You will be responsible for planning, executing and closing IT projects for a range of clients, ensuring delivery to agreed scope, quality, budget and timescales. Reporting into the Head of Projects / PMO, you’ll work closely with technical teams, account managers and customers to ensure successful outcomes across multiple concurrent projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and document project scope, objectives, deliverables and success criteria in collaboration with customers and stakeholders
- Create and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets and resource plans
- Coordinate and manage project activities, tasks and dependencies to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery
- Provide clear and regular project status updates to customers, stakeholders, vendors and internal teams
- Identify, manage and mitigate project risks, issues, and changes, escalating where required
- Ensure project deliverables meet customer expectations and align with internal standards and procedures
- Conduct project reviews, lessons learned and post-implementation feedback sessions
- Build strong working relationships with customers and account managers to help develop and manage a forward pipeline of projects
- Initiate projects from inception, aligning delivery with business objectives
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of PMO processes, reporting and best practices
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in IT Project Management, ideally within an MSP or IT consultancy environment
- Proven experience delivering IT projects such as:
- Cloud migrations (Azure / Microsoft 365)
- Onboarding new customers
- Infrastructure upgrades and swap-outs
- Cloud and on-premise infrastructure
- IT software, support and service delivery within a busy MSP
