The opportunity
We are looking for an energetic and ambitious Consultant to join our London team.
You will help clients tackle difficult problems, develop and deliver effective campaigns and communicate with the audiences who matter. You will work across different sectors and account teams, with exposure to senior colleagues and clients. We want someone who is interested in how politics, business and the media interact, takes pride in producing excellent work and is keen to keep learning.
This is a role for someone ready to take greater ownership of client campaigns and projects, contribute to strategic thinking and deliver high-quality consultancy across a range of accounts.
- Manage and deliver strategic communications and public affairs campaigns that achieve client objectives.
- Advise clients on complex political, policy, regulatory and reputational issues, turning research and insight into clear recommendations.
- Lead day-to-day client work and specific workstreams, managing multiple projects and competing priorities to a high standard and deadline.
- Produce compelling content, including campaign plans, presentations, briefing notes, messaging, press releases, articles and digital content.
- Develop media and stakeholder strategies, support outreach and identify opportunities to build influence and engagement.
Requirements
- At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in public affairs, communications or a related field.
- A proven track record of delivering high-quality public affairs and communications work.
- Experience within a communications agency, an in‑house communications team, Parliament, government, a press office or a comparable environment.
- A strong interest in UK politics, current affairs, business, media and public debate, with a good understanding of the government, policy and media landscapes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and produce high-quality content.
- Strong research, analytical, planning and project‑management skills.
- A proactive, client‑focused approach, with the judgement to anticipate needs, solve problems and act on what needs doing.
- The ability to build strong relationships and work effectively with clients, colleagues and external stakeholders.
You do not need to have worked across every area listed above. We are more interested in your potential, judgement and attitude than in a perfect checklist of experience.
