The predicted salary is between 13 - 13 £ per hour.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our care home team in Bristol. This role involves delivering high-quality care to residents, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a compassionate approach to elder care. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents while developing your professional career within a supportive environment.

Duties:

  • Oversee and supervise the delivery of personalised care plans for residents, ensuring all needs are met with dignity and respect.
  • Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and medication management.
  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive resident support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and update records in accordance with organisational policies.
  • Contribute to organising activities and social engagement programmes for residents to promote wellbeing.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times within the care environment.
  • Assist with driving responsibilities, including transporting residents when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in senior care or a similar setting, with supervising or leadership responsibilities preferred.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of care plans, health & safety procedures, and IT systems utilised in healthcare settings.
  • Driving licence is desirable for transportation duties within the role.
  • Experience working in a care home environment is advantageous.
  • Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in eldercare and improving residents’ quality of life.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
