The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate, compliant and commercially robust cost estimates for construction projects across Stages 1–3 (cost planning) and tender stage, ensuring alignment with client requirements, technical standards and company margin and risk strategy. The role plays a critical part in margin protection, risk management, value engineering, and the successful transition from pre-construction to delivery through clear commercial handover and transparency.

About you/experience:
- Proven experience as an Estimator within a main contractor environment
- HNC/HND or degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying or related discipline
- Strong understanding of: Construction methods, Market pricing, Procurement strategies
- Experience in: Cost planning (RIBA Stages 1–3), Tender stage estimating
- Familiarity with: BIM and digital take-off tools and Sustainability requirements and modern methods of construction
- Strong commercial awareness and risk-based thinking
- Excellent numerical, analytical and organisational skills
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
- Working in the social housing sector
- Working within the later living or care sector
- Experience across residential, commercial or mixed-use projects
- Collaborative, and can lead or work as part of a team
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Commercially astute with a proactive approach to risk
- Confident communicator, able to challenge constructively
- Professional, reliable and aligned with company values
- Can work to and achieve deadlines
