The Role of Wedding & Events Planner

The Wedding & Events Planner will be responsible for being both pro-active and reactive in promoting and selling the space to achieve revenue budgets.

The Wedding & Events Plannerwill be responsible for co-ordinating and maximising wedding enquiries and bookings.

Maintaining regular contact with clients regarding enquiries for weddings & vvents by telephone, e-mail and in person.

You will forge strong working relationships with cexisting and potential clients to ensure great service delivery at all weddings & events.

You can have a lasting impact on making memories and creating the most special of days so attention to detail is vital.

The Wedding & Events Plannerwill use Rez Control for all bookings, keeping accurate and up to date records and creating written confirmations & function sheets to ensure that all details are correct for a successful event.

This role will give the Wedding & Events Plannerthe opportunity to work closely with the General Manager and the Sales & Partnership Hub to grow the business whilst delivering memorable experiences and having a real impact on the business.

This role is ideal for someone who has great communication, time management and an eye for detail.

Ideally the candidate will have demonstratable experience working in events or other similar hospitality areas.

Job Overview

The Weddings & Events Planner is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of weddings and special events held at the hotel.

The role involves working closely with couples and event organisers to understand their vision, managing budgets, sourcing suppliers and ensuring every detail is delivered seamlessly.

The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to build relationships with both couples, event organisers and internal teams.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Strong organisational skills, strong numeric skills, and a good understanding of figures.
  • Self-motivated and proactive approach.
  • Strong communication skills and professional telephone manner.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or an operational Events role.
  • Experience of a PMS such as Rez Control or Opera.
  • £60 BB per night for Friends and Family rate
