Avisford Park Hotel is located within 60 acres of grounds with 140 bedrooms, 15 meeting rooms and a fully equipped gym and leisure club and golf course for guests to enjoy, something for everyone.
The Leisure Manager will be responsible for ensuring that Leisure is run effectively and efficiently, giving a great guest experience and enhancing the hotel experience overall. The responsibilities will include pool tests, ensuring quality, cleanliness and Health & Safety standards are met across the pool and gym area whilst delivering excellent customer service.
As leisure is open throughout the day, the Leisure Manager and team will cover varied shifts to ensure that the hotel guests and leisure members are supported and have someone to answer any questions at all times. The Leisure Manager will maintain accurate membership records and will support the club with attracting more members, being proactive in growing leisure members and creating an environment where members feel confident.
The role requires ideally someone who is NPLQ or Pool Responder trained and who has Pool Plant knowledge, experience, and qualifications. The Leisure Manager will ensure that all processes are followed within Leisure and that they develop, train and support their team to do the same. As one team, you will also interact with all other colleagues across the hotel.
As a manager within the hotel, the Leisure Manager will support with DM shifts, having a good understanding of the hotel operation and a positive and collaborative approach to working within the wider hotel setting.

This role involves overseeing the daily operations of the leisure facilities, including the gym, swimming pool, spa, and fitness classes, while maintaining high standards of customer service, safety, and hygiene. The Leisure Manager will lead and motivate a team, drive membership sales, and implement strategies to enhance the club’s offerings and revenue.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Pool Plant Room qualification (NPPO or equivalent)
- Pool Responder (NPLQ or equivalent or willingness to obtain)
- Previous experience in a management or supervisory role within a leisure, fitness, or hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- A passion for fitness, wellness, and excellent customer service.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a leisure environment.
