Avisford Park Hotel is located within 60 acres of grounds with 140 bedrooms, 15 meeting rooms and a fully equipped gym and leisure club and golf course for guests to enjoy, something for everyone.
The Leisure Assistant will support the Leisure Manager in ensuring that the Leisure Club is run effectively and efficiently, giving a great guest experience enhancing the hotel experience overall. The responsibilities will include pool tests, ensuring cleanliness of the gym, equipment and changing rooms and that Health & Safety standards are met across the pool and gym area whilst delivering excellent customer service.
As the leisure club is open throughout the day, the role will have varied shift patterns covering early starts, later finishes and weekends. The Leisure Assistant will maintain accurate membership records and will support the club with attracting more members.
The role requires ideally someone who is NPLQ or Pool Responder trained and who has Pool Plant knowledge, experience, and qualifications. The Leisure Assistant will ensure that all processes are followed within the Leisure Club and that they work with colleagues to do the same; as one team you will also interact with all other colleagues across the hotel.
Job Overview: As a Leisure Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences within our hotel’s leisure club. You will ensure that all guests and members receive outstanding customer service, maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety, and assist with the daily operations of the leisure club, including the gym, pool, and spa facilities.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Pool Plant Room qualification (NPPO or equivalent)
- Pool Responder (NPLQ or equivalent or willingness to obtain)
- Previous experience in a similar leisure, fitness, or hospitality role is desirable.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a leisure environment.
