About the Role

Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, you'll partner with our hotel leadership teams to deliver a first‑class People service across the Group.

You’ll support every stage of the colleague journey—from attracting fantastic talent and welcoming new colleagues to coaching managers, leading employee relations cases and helping create an engaging workplace where our colleagues feel valued and supported.

You’ll enjoy variety, autonomy and the opportunity to travel regularly across our hotels, building trusted relationships and helping shape our culture.

  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Support recruitment administration using the Peoplebank Applicant Tracking System.
  • Supporting hiring managers throughout the recruitment process where required.
  • Ensuring new colleagues enjoy a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience.
  • Employee Relations
  • Providing expert advice and coaching to managers.
  • Leading investigations, disciplinary processes, grievances, performance management and absence cases.
  • Supporting managers in resolving issues fairly, consistently and in line with employment legislation.
  • Building positive employee relations across the Group.
  • People Operations
  • Maintaining accurate colleague records within Fourth HRIS and associated systems.
  • Auditing HR records to ensure compliance.
  • Supporting our Payroll Partner with payroll administration by processing colleague changes accurately and on time.
  • Producing HR reports and supporting compliance activity.
  • Colleague Experience
  • Supporting colleagues throughout their employment journey.
  • Helping organise colleague engagement initiatives.
  • Celebrating birthdays, milestones and achievements.
  • Supporting recognition programmes including Celebrate Service Week and colleague awards.
  • Being a trusted and approachable point of contact for colleagues and managers.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Supporting Group People projects.
  • Reviewing processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Helping shape the future of People & Culture across Crest Hotels.
  • What You’ll Bring

We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships just as much as they enjoy delivering excellent HR support.

You'll be someone who remains calm under pressure, approaches challenges with empathy and professionalism, and enjoys helping others succeed.

  • Demonstrable experience within a People & Culture role.
  • CIPD Level 7 qualification ideally but experience is key.
  • Strong experience managing employee relations cases independently.
  • Excellent working knowledge of UK Employment Law.
  • Experience supporting payroll processes from an HR perspective.
  • Experience using HR Information Systems such as Fourth or similar platforms.
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems, ideally Peoplebank.
  • An understanding of Health & Safety responsibilities within hospitality would be advantageous.
