We're recruiting a Field Service Engineer / Commissioning Engineer for a North Manchester-based engineering business delivering bespoke automated systems into the manufacturing sectors across the UK and internationally.

The Role

Working closely with project, software and production teams, you'll be involved in commissioning machinery and process systems, customer training, fault finding and final project delivery.

Duties will include:

  • Commissioning machinery and process systems in the UK and overseas
  • FAT support and pre-delivery testing
  • Customer training and handover
  • Fault finding and troubleshooting
  • Working with PLC-controlled equipment
  • Site documentation and project completion records
  • Supporting continuous improvement through customer feedback

What We're Looking For

  • Electrical engineering background
  • HNC/HND, ONC or equivalent engineering qualification
  • PLC knowledge and commissioning experience
  • Ability to work independently on customer sites
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexible approach to travel and working away
  • Food industry experience beneficial but not essential
