We're hiring a Field Service Engineer to join a long-established manufacturer of bespoke automated equipment based in Liverpool. This is a stable, well-run engineering business with exceptional staff retention, where many employees have spent 10+ years with the company. You'll be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance and support of specialist capital equipment across the UK and internationally. When not travelling, you'll support machine builds, electrical testing and commissioning activities from the company's Liverpool facility.

  • Competitive salary
  • Daily off-site allowance: £50 per day (£75 on Sundays, £100 on Bank Holidays plus a day in lieu)
  • Overtime paid at x1.5 Monday–Saturday and x2 on Sundays and Bank Holidays
  • Four-day working week at HQ (Monday–Thursday when not travelling)

  • Flexible working hours with a 1pm finish on Fridays when based at HQ

You'll Need

  • Electrical engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience
  • Strong background in field service, commissioning, installation or maintenance of industrial machinery
  • Experience with PLC and HMI systems, including fault finding and troubleshooting
  • Ability to work independently at customer sites
  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills
  • Willingness to travel internationally and work occasional evenings and weekends when required
