Are you a technically minded Project Manager looking to build long‑term career value in advanced automation? I’m working with a highly respected engineering‑led automation business delivering complex, bespoke systems across advanced manufacturing and other highly regulated sectors. This is a genuine opportunity to join a business operating at the forefront of robotics and automation, managing technically complex projects from order acceptance through to installation and final client handover.

Projects are multi-disciplinary by nature, involving mechanical, electrical and software teams, and require a confident Project Manager who is comfortable operating in technically detailed environments. You will lead projects through the full lifecycle including planning, design coordination, manufacture, testing, installation and client delivery, while managing commercial performance, schedules, technical documentation and change control.

What you’ll need:

  • Formal PM framework knowledge (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile or similar).
  • Strong client‑facing and commercial awareness.
  • Experience managing budgets, project plans and contract variations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience within bespoke automation, special‑purpose machinery, robotics or advanced manufacturing would be highly advantageous.

  • £45,000‑£55,000 basic salary.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • 5% employer pension contribution.
  • Hybrid working – typically 4 days office / 1 day from home.

This role is based in the North West and is easily commutable from Cheshire, Merseyside, North Wales and South Manchester. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
