I'm currently working with a growing systems integrator in Cheshire who are looking to appoint a Controls Engineer / Automation Engineer to support a range of bespoke automation projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small, engineering-led team delivering projects across conveyor systems, automated systems, robotics and pick & place machinery.
The Role
- Delivering automation projects from concept through to commissioning, including:
- PLC programming (predominantly Siemens TIA Portal)
- HMI development and system integration
- Electrical design input (working with third parties for detailed drawings)
- On-site commissioning and system sign-off
Projects typically involve around 6 weeks on site (2-3 times per year), with the remainder of time spent on design and development.

- Hybrid working available.
