Crescent Capital Group is seeking a Business Development Analyst to join the Investor Solutions team in its London office. The Business Development/Investor Solutions team is responsible for managing the firm’s relationships with investors, prospective investors, and investment consultants and for leading capital-raising activities. As a Support Analyst, this person will be responsible for all aspects of supporting a team of Business Development professionals.
A qualified candidate should have the ability to adapt and learn quickly within a fast-paced environment and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. Additionally, the candidate should be self-motivated, eager to drive results, organized and detail-oriented. Professionalism and confidentiality are crucial to this role as are critical thinking skills and the ability to multi-task.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate consultant research, institutional investor activity, and manager lineups via investor databases and industry trade publications.
- Review operations and finances, research sales leads, and help develop improved business strategies.
- Organize briefing notes and presentation materials to be used in prospect and client meetings.
- Manage and update Crescent’s CRM (Salesforce) system with client contact information, meeting notes, and reporting of activity.
- Ensure consistent and timely follow up to investor and/or investment consultant requests.
- Maintain the team’s sales/fundraising pipeline.
- Build out target outreach lists for new fundraises.
- Build metrics, reports, and/or dashboards to be able to analyze fundraising data.
- Prepare materials for and run the team’s sales pipeline calls.
- Own all internal reporting related to sales/fundraising (e.g. Senior Management reporting, attribution, sales projections, consultant coverage, heat maps).
- Prepare materials and/or talking points for upcoming meetings and/or outreaches.
- Oversee data in various investment consultant databases.
- Run performance and peer group analysis for Crescent’s strategies, as needed.
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of Crescent’s investor base, products invested in, plan types, consultant relationships, cross-sell opportunities, sales coverage, etc.
- Monitor market developments, news, and publications to identify potential targets and cross-selling opportunities.
- Research the external investment and investor landscape to identify trends and opportunities in the institutional marketplace that will retain and grow assets and position Crescent as one of the premier firms in the industry.
- Provide support on projects related to marketing and advance the team’s other strategic initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a preference for Business Administration.
- 3-5 years’ experience in an investor relations/business development role.
- Strong product experience and a knowledge/understanding of the competitive landscape.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Superior communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Exceptional relationship building and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work effectively and efficiently in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Able to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Highly motivated with a drive for success.
